Spirit Friendship Candle – In Memory of Ralph & Tom

Today I’m making a Spirit Friendship Candle, something to burn in memory of someone you’ve lost but never really said goodbye to. Maybe you did get to say goodbye, but you want to say it again. This is the kind of love that lingers, the kind of bond that time can’t touch.

Last night, I had a dream so vivid it pulled me out of sleep at 5:15 a.m. Ralph and Tom were there. Not just in memory, but truly there. I could feel them beside me. They were play fighting like they used to, just boys being boys.

That lighthearted chaos.

That comfort.

That love.

I met Ralph when I was 15, on good ole Facebook when it first came out. I still don’t know how my mom ever let me meet up with strangers from the internet, but somehow, she did and that choice changed my life. Ralph and his group of friends, including Tom, were wild, funny, and real. For the first time, I had friends who saw me and accepted me. Ralph especially. He never judged me because he didn’t care what people thought of him and I always admired that.

Losing Ralph broke something in me. His passing was sudden and left no room for goodbyes. Walking into that funeral home, I remember feeling the earth hurt, like the planet itself knew it lost an artist. Tom’s death came later. Different, but still heavy. He had health issues, so in a way we knew, but it didn’t make it easier. He was one of those rare good souls, gentle, steady, and kind.

I could cry forever about the people I’ve lost. And sometimes I do. But here’s the part that gives me chills: just yesterday, I asked myself why I couldn’t seem to connect with the ones I was closest to.

Why does it feel easier to talk to strangers in spirit than the people who were my heart?

And less than 24 hours later… they showed up. In full color. Full feeling. Their energy wrapped around me like a memory come to life.

Now, I don’t believe that just because you ask, something this intense will always happen. It won’t. But when you stay consistent with small daily rituals, things that ground you, center you, and keep your heart open, something shifts. You get more aware. More present. The veil gets thinner. You’re not chasing signs anymore, you’re living in rhythm with them.

That’s what this candle is for.

This Spirit Friendship Candle is more than wax and herbs, it’s a way to keep that connection alive. To hold space for the ones we still love. It’s a reminder that bonds don’t end, they just shift into new forms.

Burn it when you want to talk to them. Burn it when you want to remember. Burn it when you need to feel them near.

Because I know now, they still hear us. And when the moment is right, they find a way to remind us: we were real. And we still are.

Candle information being dropped no later than this weekend, link will be left below and product added to shop. Love and light, CJ
