Shadow Work Basic Worksheet: A Personal Journey to Understanding Yourself
Section 1: Getting to Know Your Shadow
Hayy, let's dive deep. This isn't about fixing anything, it's about understanding yourself better. Take a deep breath and be honest with yourself.
What emotions do I tend to push away or pretend don’t exist?
What kind of people or situations really push my buttons? What does that say about me?
What patterns keep showing up in my life that I wish would just stop already?
How do I handle criticism? Do I get defensive? Why do I think that is?
What qualities in others make me cringe… and do I secretly have them too?
Section 2: Facing Your Fears
Nobody likes admitting what scares them, but here’s where real growth happens. Let’s dig in:
What am I most afraid of, and what’s the worst thing that could actually happen?
When have I felt rejected, unworthy, or just not enough? How did that shape me?
How do I react when I fail? Do I shut down, overwork myself, or pretend I don’t care?
What beliefs do I hold about myself that might not actually be true?
Where in my life has fear been in the driver’s seat, making choices for me?
Section 3: Healing & Self-Acceptance
Alright, now that we’ve opened the door, let’s sit with our shadow instead of running from it.
What parts of me have I ignored, judged, or been ashamed of? Why?
How can I start being kinder to myself—especially the parts I don’t like?
If I could go back and comfort my younger self, what would I say?
What’s one way I can embrace my whole self, not just the ‘acceptable’ parts?
Section 4: Releasing & Transforming
Time to let go of what isn’t serving you and make space for something better.
What habits, thoughts, or beliefs am I finally ready to release?
What healthier beliefs or actions can I replace them with?
How can I start showing up as my full, authentic self every day?
What’s one promise I can make to myself moving forward?
Final Reflection
Write a letter to your shadow, letting it know you see it, you accept it, and you’re ready to work together instead of against each other.
Set an intention for your shadow work journey moving forward. What do you want to gain from this process?
🌿 Reminder: Healing isn’t about being perfect: it’s about being real. You’re doing amazing, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. Keep going!! 🌿
