Breaking Free: My Personal Guide to Overcoming Spiritual Stagnation with Tarot,
Ritual, and Science
Feeling Stuck in Your Spiritual Practice? You’re Not Alone.
Do you ever feel like you're losing momentum in your spiritual practice, like your rituals feel empty, your tarot readings make no sense, or you’re just disconnected from the magic you once felt?
Well, join the club, you aren’t alone.
And here’s the thing, nobody really talks about this. The spiritual community, for all its wisdom and openness, often glamorizes, villainizes, or gatekeeps information. People celebrate the highs—manifestations, synchronicities, breakthroughs, but nobody talks about the droughts, the doubts, or the moments where you question everything.
It’s frustrating. And for a group of people who’ve spent their lives feeling like outcasts, black sheep, or burdens, it’s ironic that we sometimes recreate the same atmosphere we ran from. We need to remember to stay humble, we should know theres ALWAYS more to learn and improve on. Lets come together as a community and continue to stay humble and work through character defects.
But here’s what I know: You are not alone in this. And we’ll figure this out together.
The Root of Spiritual Stagnation (According to Tarot & Science)
I approach this from two perspectives, spirituality and science.
I’ve spent years studying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and let me tell you, I wasn’t always the most pleasant person. I had a “woe is me” attitude because my life was unfair. I always knew better, at least in my mind. But later, I realized:
➡️ Common sense isn’t even common. So wasn’t I a bit ambitious?
What I learned through CBT, tarot, and ritual is that spiritual stagnation isn’t random. It follows predictable patterns, and when you understand why it happens, you can break free.
What My Tarot Pull Revealed
I pulled Strength, The Devil, and the Ace of Cups to ask how to break free from stagnation, and here’s what I got:
1️⃣ Strength → You need patience, discipline, and trust in yourself. This isn’t a quick fix.
2️⃣ The Devil → Stagnation often comes from self-imposed chains, limiting beliefs, bad habits, avoidance, or fear.
3️⃣ Ace of Cups → The way out? Emotional renewal. Reconnecting with what feels good spiritually and intuitively.
In short—we’re trapped in stagnation because of our own habits, thought patterns, and fears. But we can break out of it.
Let’s talk about how.
Step 1: Recognizing Your Spiritual Blocks (CBT + Shadow Work + The Devil)
The first step to breaking out of stagnation is self-awareness.
💡 CBT Concept: Thought Tracking
The mind runs on autopilot, repeating the same thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that keep us stuck.
To change this, we must identify the root cause of our stagnation.
How We can identify the root cause:
📝 Shadow Work Journal Prompts:
When did I start feeling disconnected from my spirituality?
What beliefs do I have about myself that might be holding me back?
Am I avoiding something in my practice because it’s uncomfortable or requires change?
